Congress nowhere in UP assembly polls; Real fight between BJP, SP, BSP: Kalraj Mishra
COIMBATORE: Union minister Kalraj Mishra today said the real fight in 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections was between the BJP, SP and BSP and Congress stands "nowhere" as it has no base in the state.

"Congress is nowhere in Uttar Pradesh as it has no base in the state. The real electoral fight (in 2017 Assmebly elections) is between BJP, SP and BSP," he told reporters here.

Asked about Congress nominating Sheila Dixit as its Chief Ministerial candidate for the polls, the senior BJP leader said the party had every right to nominate anybody they wished.

"We (BJP) are not concerned about whom the Congress is projecting as its Chief Ministerial candidate."

On the Supreme Court verdict on Arunachal Pradesh, Mishra said "We honour the verdict. We are fully confident that on the day of show of strength, our government (BJP) will come once again."
