Congress not to have alliance with AIMIM for GHMC elections
TPCC announced here today that it would not have any alliance with AIMIM for forthcoming elections for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections.

"The Congress will not have anything to do with the AIMIM in the GHMC elections or on other issues," TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said here after a party meeting.
He also added that his party had an understanding with the AIMIM until the 2014 general elections, which would be ended.
Reddy said that after the 2014 elections, the AIMIM decided to sail with the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti ( TRS).
He said that the Congress would undertake a series of campaigns to "instill confidence" among Andhra people residing in Hyderabad.
"As a national party with 130 years of history, we appeal to all settlers of Hyderabad that as per the Indian constitution, anybody has a right to live anywhere. The Congress will with you always," Reddy assured.
He said that the Congress would also take up activities to "bring back" youth, students and unemployed into the party fold once again. Reddy demanded that the TRS-led government must implement 12 per cent reservations for Muslims.
Talking about Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's likely visit to Hyderabad and Warangal, he said it is still at the planning stage and a schedule has not yet been fixed.
