The BJP on Tuesday strongly reacted to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's comments about Sardar Patel where he said that Nehru and Patel are the two sides of the same coin, but it is the BJP and RSS that try to create a division and confusion. "If Sardar Patel was so important for Congress, then why did the party not give him Bharat Ratna when it was in government," Union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal told media persons at party office in Delhi. "The reality is that Congress always belittled the leaders who had bigger stature than Nehru post-independence. Sardar Patel and Dr BR Ambedkar are the two examples."

Meghwal said that the Congress has the old habit of humiliating Ambedkar and Congress president Kharge should study more to get a clarity of thought.
