PANAJI: Congress leader Shantaram Naik today accused the media of being 'biased' towards the BJP while reporting the recent events in the Parliament.

Referring to the coverage of protests by Congress during the recently concluded Parliamentary session, the Rajya Sabha MP said the media only criticised the Congress for being responsible for complete washout of the monsoon session, though BJP in the past too had done the same.

"You might be feeling bad as a member of media but I have to say that media is after us (criticising). It is unfortunate. When BJP disrupted the Parliament (in the past), media never raised the issue," Naik said while talking to reporters here today.

Congress has already made it clear that they would not allow the Parliament to function unless BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Vasundhara Raje Scindia resign from their posts, Naik said.

"Sushma Swaraj's act (of helping tainted former IPL chief Lalit Modi) borders on anti-nationalism," Naik alleged.

He said BJP is currently frustrated as their veteran leaders are embroiled in controversies.
