Kannada actor-turned-politician Ramya is facing a sedition charge for saying Pakistan a 'good country, not hell'.

A petition was filed against the actor at the Somavarapete court in Madikeri, Karnataka. The case will be heard on Saturday.

Referring to Manohar Parrikar's recent comment that "going to Pakistan is like going to hell," the 33-year-old Congress MP said "Pakistan is a good country, not hell. People are just like us. They treated us very well. Manohar Parrikar's comment is not true."

According to reports, the actor turned politician refused to apologize, even though she took to twitter to defend herself.
