Nagina Lok Sabha MP Chandrashekhar Azad recently said that Muslims should be allowed to offer Namaz in the streets. However, in a strong rebuttal, Congress MP from nearby Saharanpur seat, Imran Masood, said when government has prohibited Namaz in the streets, then Allah will not accept those prayers as government owns the streets. Trying to strike a balance between Hindu and Muslim voters, Masood had recently praised Yogi Adityanath government's attempts to improve the electricity situation in UP.
