Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, who is also leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, said none of his party colleagues spoke about changing the Constitution and claimed the BJP charge was a diversionary tactic to avoid discussion on the currency seizure from a Delhi High Court judge's residence.
In a social media post, Kharge said, "None of our leaders or ministers have talked about changing the Constitution. Only the BJP-RSS leaders have repeatedly talked about the Constitution made by Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar. In separate notices submitted to the RS chairman, Congress chief whip Jairam Ramesh alleged that the statements made by the two ministers were false.
