The speaker had accepted the resignation of six MLAs on Saturday. In individual letters with common subject, the MLAs write that it is impossible for them to meet the speaker in current scenario and their resignations should be accepted.
“I had requested to you earlier also and as you know in the current law and order and uncertain situation in the state it is not possible for me to be individually present and meet you. I request you to accept my resignation as you have accepted the resignation of six MLAs on March 14,” read the letter.
Before this the MLAs had requested for CRPF security on their coming to Bhopal as they have no trust in state police. Post the letter by these MLAs, state home minister Bala Bachchan assured the MLAs to offer CRPF security if they so wish. “If the MLAs want CRPF security, we have no objection. However out state police is completely able and adequate enough to provide security to them,” Bachchan told media persons. “Still if they feel they need stronger security then they can take security of CRPF.”
Apart from these MLAs, other Congress MLAs who were in Jaipur have returned back to Bhopal and have been kept in a hotel. The BJP MLAs who are in Manesar are also likely to come by tomorrow morning. The Budgest session for MP assembly shall start from Monday with governor’s address.
