Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath to join BJP in Tripura

Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath along with with his supporters will join the BJP in Tripura on Friday.

BJP's National Executive member and Tripura State in-charge, Sunil Deodhar said, “Saffron wave is sweeping all over Tripura. BJP’s victories in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh have given the people here direction and people are ready to oust Left Front in Tripura”

Left Front is ruling Tripura for last 24 years. He said, “People who were indecisive earlier are now joining BJP here.”


Earlier six Trinmool Congress MLAs joined the BJP.

Deodhar said, “Congress MLA, Ratan Lal Nath along with his thousands of supporters will be joining BJP in presence of BJP’s national general secretary Ram Madhav. Congress now is left with two MLAs in the 60 member Assembly. Virtually there is no opposition."

He added, “For the first time 2018 will see fight a direct fight between BJP and CPIM. People are fed up with several decade rule of inefficient Manik Sarkar led communist government in Tripura and are looking for an alternative.”
