Congress lists 16 u-turns by Arvind Kejriwal
NEW DELHI: Stepping up its attack on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, Congress on Monday released a booklet listing 16 U-turns made during his 49-day tenure as chief minister of Delhi. Ajay Maken, the face of the Congress party for the Delhi poll, said voters would punish AAP for the false promises Kejriwal had made. Congress also filed a complaint with EC against Kejriwal for allegedly asking the people to accept “bribes” from Congress and BJP and then vote for AAP.

The Congress booklet, titled ‘49 Dino Ki Ultee Chall, Dilli Hui Behal: U-Turn Kejriwal’, contains 16 charges.

The booklet says Kejriwal joined politics after declaring he would not form a political party or contest an election. Kejriwal dumped Anna Hazare, prompting Kiran Bedi to say Kejriwal ran away with all the funds, Facebook users and databases of India Against Corruption, the Congress booklet claims.

While releasing the booklet, Maken said: “AAP formed a government with Congress support after Kejriwal swore by his children that there would be no tie-up with the scam-ridden BJP or Congress.”

Maken alleged Kejriwal used a private plane to campaign in Gujarat after vociferously protesting against this practice by politicians. “After travelling by metro for the swearing-in ceremony as chief minister, Kejriwal used a government car and official accommodation,” he said.
