Congress leader Narayan Rane praises good work of PM Modi and Devendra Fadnavis on stage

‘Narendra Modi in the centre and Devendra Fadnavis in the state are doing an excellent job in taking the state towards progress’. One would be forgiven to think this is a BJP leader saying this, unfortunately for the Congress it is one of their own who has spoken out in favour of the two BJP leaders.

Congress leader Narayan Rane on Friday created a flutter when he said that while Modi was working hard in the centre, similarly Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also working hard to take the state towards progress.

Rane was speaking at a ceremony at Kudal in Sindhudurg district to lay the foundation stone of the quadrupling of the Mumbai-Goa highway. Not just Fadnavis and Modi, even Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari came in for high praise. Rane called him a ‘vikas purush’.

Rane has been giving the Congress a tough time as he has given mixed signals over the past few months. He has openly admitted that he is not happy in the Congress and he has also been photographed meeting BJP President Amit Shah.

While Rane has denied that he is joining any party or his meet with Shah, he has admitted that there are ‘issues with the Congress party’ that needs to be resolved.

Rane wants to be named the State Congress Chief, however the move is not happening as several state Congress leaders are opposed to the decision.

Incidentally for the Kudal function there was not one single hoarding of Rane with the Congress symbol.

There is a buzz that Rane is desperate to join the BJP and is hence praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
