Congress indirectly helping TMC in stalling Saradha probe: BJP

SILIGURI: BJP today alleged that the Congress was indirectly helping Trinamool Congress in trying to stall the Saradha scam probe.

Senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal is representing Trinamool Congress as its lawyer in the Supreme Court in connection to the scam, BJP's West Bengal unit president Rahul Sinha said while addressing a North Bengal Amanatkari Suraksha Samiti meeting here.

The Samiti is a representative organisation of the chit fund victim investors in North Bengal.

He alleged "one brother (Congress) is trying to help another brother (Trinamool Congress) in trying to stall the probe in Saradha chitfund scam".

TMC leader Mukul Roy, who is supposed to appear before the CBI on January 30, tried his best to evade the investigation agency but failed, Sinha said.
