Congress inching closer to retain power for third consecutive term in Manipur

Congress is inching closer to retain power for third consecutive term in Manipur. The party has won 7 seats and is leading in as many as 24 seats.

All India Trinamool Congress has opened its account by winning one seat. It is leading in three seats. Naga Peoples Front (NPF) to have won one seat.

Opposition alliance of 11 political parties which included Manipur People's Party (MPP), NCP, JD(U) ,CPI (M), CPI, NPF, Trinamool Congress, Lok Jana Shakti Party, Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) and BJP have failed to make much impact. (Eom)
