Chavan ministry claiming he has a number of grouses, mainly that the Congress won’t come to power in the state again if the elections are fought under the leadership of CM Prithviraj Chavan and that the Congress had cheated him by not making him the Chief Minister as was promised to him when he had joined the Congress.

According to Congress leaders, the high command, after taking a view from the state-level leadership, has decided that Rane’s demands would not be met.

Rane wanted to be made state Congress Chief or the campaign committee chief while retaining his industry portfolio
