GUWAHATI: Amidst show of unity, ruling congress in Assam sounded poll bugle for the 2016 assembly polls.

Riddled by dissension and factionalism in past one year, the grand old party made attempts to present a united front in Guwahati during the “betrayal day” rally organised by the grand old party on Saturday.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi questioned” where is the Aacha Din” promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Congress is attacking Modi government’s support to Indo-Bangladesh land swap deal, stopping of subsidized ration to tea garden labourers, suspension of the registration under the schemes of North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy, 2007 (NEIIPP 2007) and slashing of budget of MNREGA.
