GHAZIABAD: Adopting a unique method of protest, Congress workers today rode bullock carts in the city protesting against the alleged failure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government.

Congress District President Harandra Kasana said party workers assembled at Ramliala Maidan near Ghantaghar this morning and raised slogans against the Modi government.

Nearly a dozen bullock carts were fitted with hoardings depicting message about failures of the government on various fronts such as bringing back of black money, Vyapam scam and Land Acquisition Bill.

The rally started from Ghantaghar Ramlila Maidan at 11.30 AM and was led by AICC secretary Naseeb Singh through markets of the city before culminating at Ambedkar park.

Addressing the party workers, General Secretary of AICC and UP incharge Madhusudan Mistry alleged that the government had failed on all fronts and that it was in no mood to fulfill the promises made during Lok Sabha polls.

Mistry also criticised the government for its anti-farmer polices.
