Reacting angrily over Singh accusing the UPA government and its ministers as "corrupt", Congress party asked why he remained silent on it during service?
Singh had yesterday told reporters that the Congress led UPA government was "clueless" about governance and its ministers steep in corruption.
Sitting by side of former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, the bureaucrat-turned politician, had pointed to 2G, Commonwealth games scam and coalgate in support of his allegations.
In a statement state Congress media in-charge Prem Chand Mishra said that the party wants him to clarify as for what end he (Singh) wanted to go to JD(U) first and later changed mind to join BJP.
He said Singh levelled serious corruption charges against Nitish Kumar government in Bihar forgetting the fact that BJP was part of it for seven-and-a-half year.
Mishra said that his party holds the view that anybody can join politics after retirement but an officer who always occupied "creamy posting" joins a party, then it is to "fulfill personal greed than serving people".
He said people like Singh and former Petroleum Secretary R S Pandey joining BJP despite occupying crucial position in UPA government proved that they had "collusion" with the opposition party.
