Assam finance minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma alleged that the Congress party has used pictures from Taiwan to depict tea estate of Assam.

Sarma tweeted, “First Congress couldn't identify Assam, now Congress can't even recognise Assamese people. This is again a pic from Taiwan. Congress leaders have forgotten Assam. Let's show @INCIndia how beautiful our land is#CongressInsultsAssam.”

Congress has used pictures in its campaign “Save Assam”.


Recently Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited tea estates in Assam mingled with tea workers and had food in the house of a tea garden worker.
