Congress has surrendered national interest in J-K, alleges BJP
As a result, Congress is constrained to maintain silence on the Interlocutors' and Sagheer Ahmed report, BJP said.
Chief spokesperson of the party in the state also alleged that mainstream political parties, including the Congress, have "surrendered national interest to appease separatists."
"All other mainstream parties including the Congress have surrendered the national interest to appease separatists to gain power in state," BJP national executive member Jitendra Singh.
Singh was leading a door to door membership drive of BJP in Reasi and Katra towns.
"BJP is the only viable option available for the nationalist sections of society particularly in a state like Jammu and Kashmir," claimed Singh, who is also the party's chief spokesperson in J-K.
"In J-K, the only agenda of the Congress party is to hang on to power by forging convenient alliances with Kashmir centric, separatist-friendly political parties," he alleged.
As a result, Congress is constrained to maintain silence on the Interlocutors' and Sagheer Ahmed report, Singh said.
