Congress delayed Indore airport terminal project: BJP
A day before the operationalisation of the new airport terminal here, BJP alleged that Congress leaders including Digivijay Singh had stalled the project.
BJP Indore unit president, Shankar Lalwani, alleged that after the NDA government sanctioned the terminal project, Digvijay Singh government in Madhya Pradesh did not allot land for it.
Lalwani said if Congress tried to leave leaders of other parties out of tomorrow's inauguration, BJP would stage a protest. UPA should not take any credit for the project, he said.
However, Indore Airpot Director, R N Shinde, told PTI that the new terminal would be operationalised tomorrow but there would no inauguration. "It is simply a shifting of airport operations from the old building to the new building. Airport Authority has not invited any political leader," Shinde clarified.
The state Congress had reportedly said that the party's state unit chief, Kantilal Bhuriya, would be inagurating the new terminal.
