JAMMU: Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today accused Congress of creating trouble in disclosure of names of those people who have stashed black money abroad by signing Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA).

It also termed the Article 370 of the Constitution, that grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir, as an impediment in the development of the state.

"By signing such treaties (DTAA) Congress made it sure that the names of people who have their black money stashed in foreign banks are not disclosed, but our government is in consultation with the foreign governments and the outcome will be visible soon", BJYM National President and MP Anurag Thakur told reporters here.

"As a responsible country we cannot break the international treaties that were signed by the previous government. Congress has signed the DTAA that is creating hurdles in the disclosure of the names of the people who have stashed black money abroad," he said.

Thakur said party was committed to the promises it made to the people of India before it came to power at the Centre as the BJP government at New Delhi was working towards the fulfillment of those promises.

Speaking to PTI on the sidelines of a BJYM workers meet in Jammu, Thakur said, "In few months time we have done what the Congress failed to do in a decade, even the Supreme Court of India appreciated our efforts to bring back the black money".

He said his party was of the view that article 370 of the Constitution must be abrogated for the complete integration of the state of Jammu and Kashmir with the Union of India.
