Congress counters Indian Union Muslim League’s Rahul Gandhi attack
Muslim League cannot even elect a panchayat member from states like UP and West Bengal, ‘Veekshanam’ pointed out.

Attacking Rahul for the defeat of Congress is against all limits of political decency, says Veekshanam daily, the mouthpiece of Congress. Veekshanam’s comments are in reaction to the editorial in Chandrika daily, IUML’s mouth piece, which criticized Rahul Gandhi for the dismal show of Congress in the Lok Sabha polls.
Stating that the language used by Chandrika daily cannot be called ‘friendly’, the editorial said that Muslim League’s view that its criticism is ‘constructive’ cannot be taken on its face value.
Muslim League is acting like the spectators who watch the game from the gallery and give advice to the players. Congress is a party that has seen many ‘droughts’ in the history of elections. It does not need Muslim League’s advice to come back to power, the editorial said.
Muslim League cannot even elect a panchayat member from states like UP and West Bengal, ‘Veekshanam’ pointed out. IUML is under the impression that Kerala is India.
In the last ten years, while the UPA was ruling the country, Rahul did not enjoy the advantages of power. Instead, he was touring the country to understand the true spirit of India. IUML has insulted his efforts by stating that his’ was a ‘one man show’.
Rahul identified youngsters who worked well and entrusted them with responsibilities. The arrangement worked well in 2004 and 2009.
