MORENA: Congress today filed a complaint with the District Returning Officer (DRO) here against BJP for allegedly distributing a book carrying objectionable content against party president Sonia Gandhi.

The book, authored by an unknown writer, was distributed in the Morena-Sheopur area allegedly by BJP workers, district Congress spokesman Rajendra Yadav and Congress leader Sanjay Mishra told reporters after filing a complaint with the DRO.

"It carries objectionable material against the Congress president's personal life which amounts to insult of a respected woman of the country," they alleged. They also alleged that it was the handiwork of BJP to influence Lok Sabha polls.

However, BJP's Morena city spokesman Sanjay Dandotiya said his party has no connection with the book and is also not aware of any such publication. Police must probe the matter and find out who are behind it, he added.
