NEW DELHI: Rallying behind the Maharashtra government, Congress on Tuesday hit out at Bihar's Nitish Kumar government, in which BJP is an alliance partner.

"It is the responsibility of the state government to maintain law and order within the state. In Maharashtra, it is the responsibility of Maharashtra's coalition government led by Uddhav Thackeray to enforce the law. Nitish Kumar should read the Constitution again. Nitish Kumar government cannot interfere with the investigations by trying to force its way in," Congress' Randeep Surjewala said.

He reminded BJP and Kumar how the BJP government in Haryana and its police are obstructing investigation by the Rajasthan Police on the bribe charges against MLAs belonging to the Pilot camp staying there.
