New Delhi: The Congress has alleged that the ‘Skill India Mission’ has been reduced to amechanism for fast ‘billing’ by the politically patronised touts and middlemen, who misuse Aadhaar data. It demanded ‘a comprehensive impartial investigation into the recently exposed Skill India scam” and sought ‘recovery of the crores of people’s money lost due to these irregularities’.

AICC spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said on Friday that contrary to the Modi government’s claim of training 40 crore people by 2022, ‘the Skill India Mission also has turned out to be a massive scam with people within the BJP eco-system, its cronies, middlemen, touts and mafia pocketing the money for the same and listing ghost beneficiaries’.
