Congress accuses BJP leader Narendra Singh Tomar of involvement in illegal mining

Madhya Pradesh Congress today accused BJP national general secretary Narendra Singh Tomar of being involved in widespread illegal mining across the state.

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Congress today accused BJP national general secretary Narendra Singh Tomar of being involved in widespread illegal mining across the state.

State unit media head Manak Agarwal said in a statement that Tomar was one of the accused in the mining scam in village Jheenti in Sehora tehsil of Jabalpur district.

He said that Tomar has also played an important role in leasing of mines to various companies in the districts of the Gwalior-Chambal division.

Tomar was unavailable for comment as he was out of station.

Agarwal alleged that Tomar had recently at a function in Morena said that a limestone mine had been awarded to a cement company which would start a factory soon at Kolaras.

He further said there was no mention of any application by the said company.
