JAMSHEDPUR: Congress today accused former Chief Minister Arjun Munda for the spurt in terror and naxal activities in the state.

Reacting sharply over Munda's statement that terrorists have established their roots strongly in Jharkhand, Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) spokesman Manoj Yadav said, had it been so, it was only because of the BJP regime.

"Who allowed these outfits to establish their network in the state?" Yadav asked.

Munda had ruled the state for long since Jharkhand was created in 2000 and he had miserably failed to handle the naxalism as well as terrorism, he alleged.

Yadav said law and order situation cannot deteriorate overnight.
