Congress' 13th phase Sandesh Yatra postponed

JAIPUR: The 13th phase of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee's Sandesh Yatra, which was supposed to begin on August 4 in Hadoti region, has been postponed in view of heavy rains in the area, party sources said on Thursday.

As Kota, Bundi, Baran, and Jhalawar districts adjoining Madhya Pradesh were facing flood like situation, all public meetings connected with the Yatra there have been deferred, a party spokesperson said here.

The Yatra, launched on March 30, aimed at highlighting the achievements of the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government before the state Assembly polls, which is likely to be held later this year.
