Addressing a workers' meet here, Bajwa said he had taken up the state tour to mobilise party cadres for the decisive battle and stressed that the Congress leadership was united and ready to face the challenge of Lok Sabha elections.

Bajwa asked party workers to expose the alleged misdeeds of SAD-BJP regime and propagate achievements of the UPA government at Centre before people.

Claiming that Punjab was at the brink of social and economic disaster and also facing serious threat to law and order, the state PCC president said, "SAD-BJP leaders are bent on disturbing the hard earned peace."

"For the first time in the state's history, gang wars between organised criminal groups belonging to SAD were seen. Law and order situation has slipped out of control and lives and property are not safe," the Gurdaspur MP alleged.
