In a bizarre turn of events ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the political landscape in Andhra Pradesh has been rocked by a controversy involving condom packets branded with party symbols. Both the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have been accused of distributing these branded condoms during door-to-door campaigns, sparking heated accusations and counter-accusations.

The YSRCP initiated the controversy by raising allegations against the TDP, claiming they were distributing condom packets as part of their campaign strategy.

YSRCP shared a video on X (formerly known as twitter) showing TDP cadres handing out branded condoms.

"Will it stop with condoms or even start distributing Viagra to the public?" Jagan Mohan Reddy's party questioned on X.

The TDP responded swiftly by posting a similar video showcasing YSRCP cadres distributing condom packets emblazoned with their party symbol.
