Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Prahlad Singh Patel said several TV channels have folded up suddenly and the plight of those working in them was worsening day by day.

NEW DELHI: The plight of journalists and non-journalists of now-defunct TV channels, some of them funded by chit fund money, was highlighted by a BJP member in the Lok Sabha today.

Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Prahlad Singh Patel said several TV channels have folded up suddenly and the plight of those working in them was worsening day by day.

He wanted efforts to be made by the government to help the employees of these channels, some of which were funded by ponzi companies.
