Complaints from Public: Government to hold file disposal week from November 12

The government has decided to hold the file disposal week in the light of complaints from members of public that officials were not disposing of their files within the stipulated time, the Minister said in a press release.

The Revenue authorities in the State will observe "file disposal week" from November 12 to November 17 to clear all those files that have been pending for more than a year, Revenue Minister R.V.Deshpande said on Friday.

The Government has asked the department heads, Regional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners to guide the revenue personnel on how to deal with the files to dispose them early.
