Complaint against Digvijay for using red beacon on vehicle
HYDERABAD: A complaint was today filed in Banjara Hills police station against AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh accusing him of violating Supreme Court order by travelling in a vehicle with red beacon.

Members of Telugu Yuvatha filed a complaint against Digvijay Singh and claimed that he went around the city on Thursday in a convoy of vehicles, including his vehicle that sported a red beacon and sought for registration of a case against him for violating the apex court order in this regard.

However, Banjara Hills police said that they have not booked any case and were looking into the matter.

When asked about the issue, Digvijay Singh told reporters that the question should be put to the AP government authorities.

The Supreme Court had on Tuesday come down heavy on the rampant use of beacons by those in power while directing authorities to ensure that even those holding constitutional positions used them on vehicles only while on duty.
