Cold wave continues in Uttar Pradesh

Cold wave prevails in some parts of Uttar Pradesh with maximum temperature remaining 5 to 13 degree Celsius below normal.

LUCKNOW: Cold wave like conditions prevailed in some parts of Uttar Pradesh with maximum temperature remaining 5 to 13 degree Celsius below normal in isolated parts of the state.

Met office sources said the weather was mainly dry over the state.

Ghazipur was the coldest place in the state with a minimum temperature of 2 degree Celsius.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Varanasi, Allahabad, Lucknow, Bareilly and Moradabad divisions, while they were below normal in Gorakhpur, Kanpur and Agra divisions, and normal in the remaining divisions of the state.

Weather would be mainly dry and fog would occur at some places in the state, Met said.

Cold wave condition would prevail in one or two places in the state during next 24 hours, it added.
