Coal allotment issue: CBI conducts raids in Ranchi, Dhanbad

RANCHI: The CBI today carried out raids at the offices of some companies in Ranchi and Dhanbad, apparently in connection with the coal allotment issue.

Separate teams launched the raids at different places, according to an agency official.

He, however, evaded a query whether it was related to coal allotments following the CBI's filing of FIRs in various cities, including Dhanbad.

During the day, raids have also been conducted by the central investigative agency in other cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Patna.
