The AICC in-charge of Bihar Congress Bhakta Charan Das on Wednesday claimed the Mahagathbandhan government of the state will soon have a common minimum programme (CMP) and that the seven parties in the alliance would discuss and finalise its details. At the AICC briefing, he said the state Congress will get one more ministerial berth in the Nitish cabinet as an agreement has been reached to allot the party three ministerial slots.

Meanwhile, PCC chief Madan Mohan Jha parried a question on whether the Congress considered Nitish Kumar as the Opposition PM candidate for the 2024 LS polls. "Until now neither Nitish Kumar has said he would be the Prime ministerial candidate nor have we said we will have our PM candidate. For us, Rahul Gandhi is our (PM) candidate and whatever he says about anyone on that issue, the whole party will agree."
