'No differences, we are brothers,' CM Siddaramaiah says about DK Shivakumar after second round of breakfast
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar presented a united front, meeting for breakfast and asserting no differences between them or among Congress MLAs. The leaders discussed strategies for the 2028 assembly polls, count...

Siddaramaiah also added that there were no differences of opinion among any of the Congress MLAs, too. “The MLAs have only expressed their opinion,” he responded to queries. Sections of MLAs had openly identified themselves with either Siddaramaiah or Shivakumar and voiced their opinions.
Both leaders claimed that they discussed strengthening the party for the 2028 assembly polls and also about taking on the Opposition in the legislature session beginning at Belagavi on December 8. Siddaramaiah said he gathered that the Opposition planned a no-confidence motion against the government and, if that were to happen, the government would effectively counter it.
Shivakumar, speaking to the media, however, added, “We also discussed politics.” They both discussed finalising candidates for Legislative Council elections, the meeting of all-party MPs in Delhi to discuss the state’s problems, and strategies for the upcoming legislature session, he added.
With the Parliament session on, Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar have buried the hatchet, conducted themselves according to the AICC script, and seem to have put the public spat on the issue of leadership on the backburner.
