CM Rangasamy extends greetings on 61st Liberation day of Puducherry
CM Rangasamy said that November one is a historic day as it was on this day in 1954 did Puducherry become a free pocket.

In his message on the eve of the 61st Liberation Day (De Facto Merger Day) of Puducherry, he said "India is setting an example for the rest of the world by nurturing unity, equality and fraternity" and the terriorial government was also toeing the line of these cardinal principles.
Extending his greetings to stalwarts of liberation of Puducherry, Rangasamy said that November one is a historic day as it was on this day in 1954 did Puducherry become a free pocket.
"The tricolour flag was hoisted that day on the premises of the government building after bringing down the French flag marking the dawn of freedom of Puducherry and its outlying regions from the foreign yoke", he said.
Puducherry has been making stupendous progress in health, education, public welfare and employment sectors since then. "We would continue to put in hard work to scale greater heights through our welfare oriented plans and programmes", he said.
He made a fervent appeal to all sections to sink all differences and march towards the goal of development through united efforts.
Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) R Radhakrishnan also extended his greetings.
