CM Kumaraswamy appoints 14 MLAs to Boards & Corporations

The Congress had, on December 22, announced a list of 19 chairmen to boards and corporations, seven parliamentary secretaries, one political secretary and one special representative in Delhi.

The Chief Minister has not issued orders of appointment to all legislators the Congress had announced.

Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy has announced the appointment of 14 MLAs as Chairmen of Boards and Corporations, and eight other legislators as Parliamentary Secretaries.

While Chairmen will hold Cabinet rank, the Parliamentary Secretaries will have Minister of State status.

The Congress had, on December 22, announced a list of 19 chairmen to boards and corporations, seven parliamentary secretaries, one political secretary and one special representative in Delhi.


The Chief Minister, however, has not issued orders of appointment to all legislators the Congress had announced, and has withheld five positions of chairmen including that of Pollution Control Board, BDA and BMTC, and some other positions such as Political Secretary to CM and State Government's Special Representative in Delhi.

The Congress leadership is expected to come under pressure on Monday by other legislators whose appointments have not been cleared yet.
