CM Himanta unveils 3,200 mw Adani power project, marking major expansion in Assam’s power capacity

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone for Adani Power Limited’s 3,200 MW Ultra-Supercritical Thermal Power Plant at Chapar in Dhubri district. The mega project marks a significant addition to Assam’s power-generation capacity and is expected to support the state’s growing energy and industrial requirements. The project is part of a broader push to strengthen Assam’s power infrastructure, attract large-scale investment and create new economic and employment opportunities in the state.
