WASHINGTON: Hillary Clinton will join her former Democratic presidential rival Barack Obama on the campaign trail June 27, Obama aides announced on Friday.

There were no further details available about the event, which would be the first joint appearance for the two candidates since Obama locked in the party's nomination on June 3 after a hard-fought primary season.

Clinton stepped out of the race on June 7 saying she would work hard to ensure that Obama is elected in November.
