Clinton expected to release delegates on Wednesday

DENVER: Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton will gather her delegates on Wednesday at a reception where she is expected to publicly release them to vote for her longtime Democratic rival Barack Obama.

Clinton has invited her pledged delegates to a reception at the Colorado Convention Center.

A Democratic official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the details, tells The Associated Press that at that event, she is expected to formally release her delegates to vote for Obama. A Clinton aide says the reception will be a chance for her to thank her delegates and encourage them to work to elect the Illinois senator.

Many Democrats have wondered how the Clinton and Obama camps will present a united party.
