Clean chit to Vasundhara Raje, son Dushyant Singh, BJP's corruption protection policy: Sachin Pilot
JAIPUR: Rajasthan Congress Chief Sachin Pilot today attacked Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for giving "clean chit" to Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her son Dushyant Singh in the Lalit Modi controversy saying it shows the BJP's corruption protection policy.

Reacting to Gadkari's remarks that "accusations" against Raje have "no substance" and BJP as well as the central government are strongly behind her, Pilot said it was an important aspect of "BJP's corruption protection policy" by ignoring the facts and figure.

"There are hard facts and evidences against the both but it appears that it is an important aspect of BJP's corruption protection policy," Pilot alleged.

He said the BJP high-command including Gadkari have given "clean chit" to Raje and Dushyant despite the two openly acknowledging their links with the former IPL boss.

Reacting to Gadkari's statement that Raje had done no wrong and such issues should not be brought into politics, the Rajasthan Congress chief said Congress was not making any one, neither Raje nor her son, victim of politics.

He also criticised Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for giving "clean chit" to Raje and Dushyant even before ED probe against Lalit Modi was complete.

BJP was insulting the public mandate and their feeling, and was following unconstitutional policy by giving "clean chit" to its accused leaders, Pilot said.

On the absence of Raje from Gadkari's interaction with media organised by the CMO at Jaipur today, Pilot said it showed CM was guilty and could not face media's questions.

Speaking to media Gadkari had said, "The allegations against Raje are baseless...Vasundhara ji legally, logically, ethically is completely correct. There is no fault of hers anywhere."
