MUMBAI: The NCP(SCP) National Working President Supriya Sule on Saturday said that they were not wanting to change the government or bring its downfall. The statement goes contrary to what the Congress and the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has been saying that they wanted to bring down the government.

"Our limited point is that there should be transparency. There are fundamental questions about the decisions taken by the Election Commission. Everyone's vote has the same value, someone's vote should not be taken away. Firstly we want Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation and it should be followed by reforms in the Election Commission."said Supriya Sule on Saturday.

Sule's comments are significant as it varies from what lawyer Prashant Bhushan said that the CJP and the opposition wanted- 'regime change'. While the remark was seized on by the BJP to claim that the opposition to Gyanesh Kumar was just a pretext and the opponents wanted to bring down the government, the Congress has hit back saying that they want the current government to go.
