'Civil society should fight drug trafficking in state'

Stating that proximity to border areas has made Punjab vulnerable to drug trafficking, the Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge Vijayendra Jain on Saturday urged the civil society to fight the menace.

BATHINDA: Stating that proximity to border areas has made Punjab vulnerable to drug trafficking, the Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge Vijayendra Jain on Saturday urged the civil society to fight the menace.

"The youth of Punjab is into drug addiction and people from all trades and occupations should fight the problem," he said.

Jain was addressing a seminar organised by Punjab legal services authority in collaboration with the district administration here today.

He called for support from all parts of society, and appealed to doctors, advocates, students, administration and judiciary to fight the problem.
