City state in 2031: Three snapshots

The preparation of the Revised Master Plan (RMP) 2031, the document that will govern the city's growth over the next decade, is in full swing. The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has lined up a series of public consultation meets for citizens to share views on the crucial document. Based on existing data, the agency has come up with three scenarios -Containment, Corridor-driven and Differential Strategy -on what Bengaluru will look like in a not-so-distant a future.

The projections are based on existing city data, growth and development trends. ET provides a snapshot on the three routes the city could take to reach 2031.
