CII to publish white paper on the best practices adopted by the states vis-a-vis Assam

GUWAHATI: Confederation of Indian Industry ( CII) will publish white paper on the best practices adopted by the states in India vis-a vis Assam to enable Assam government to expedite industrial and infrastructural projects.

President of CII and Executive Vice-Chairman of Infosys Limited , S. Gopalakrishnan who was in Guwahati on Tuesday after meeting the chief Tarun Gogoi said, "CII has assured to work for entrepreneurship development in the state."

He added during the talk with the chief minister several sector including skill building, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), Information and Technology, healthcare were identified where both the government and CII will work together.

CII president further said CII will bring industry to identify relevant courses for Industrial training Institute (ITI) and setting up Centre of excellence. "Government of Assam is coming up with IT Park and Indian Institute of Information Technology and Advanced Sciences (IIITAS) we want to assist the government by roping in investors and incubators."

CII will publish white paper where best practices adopted in giving single window clearance to projects, licensing will be there. It will also point out the scenario in Assam regarding this process.
