BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan conducted an inspection of crop loss in the state due to the recent hailstorm.


In the morning yesterday, Chouhan visited Sagda village in Lateri tehsil and Chitoria village in Nateran tehsil of Vidisha district and held discussions with farmers.

Later, he visited tribal-dominated Delakheri village in Tamia tehsil of Chhindwara district where he inspected affected crops in fields.

He said the government will provide maximum relief to calamity-affected farmers.

Directives have been given to local administration to carry out survey liberally and sympathetically, he said.

Relief will also be given on damage of vegetable crops, he said adding that loan recovery from the affected farmers will remain suspended.
