Chouhan to head GoM on IT implementation
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would be heading the reconstituted Group of Ministers (GoM) for the implementation of Information Technology policy 2006.
The GoM, which would be meeting every three months, was reconstituted today and includes commercial tax and public enterprises minister Babu Lal Gaur, finance minister Raghavji, commerce, industry and environment minister Jayant Kumar Malaiya, PWD, IT and science and technology minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and revenue, religious and religious rehabilitation minister Kamal Patel.
Chief secretary and secretary IT would be the convenor and co-convenor of the GoM, an official release today said adding, it would work in the direction of successful implementation of 2006 policy.
The group would consider different aspects of the policy and take a decision on proposals by IT companies and those interested in the development of infrastructure.
The committee would also take a decision on providing special packages for big investors in the area, it said.
The government has also constituted another GoM headed by home minister Himmat Kothari to look into the recommendations of the enquiry committee about encounters between police and anti-social elements at Porsa and district Morena.
Parliamentary affairs minister Narottam Mishra and urban administration and developmentment minister Anoop Mishra are the two other members of the committee.
Chief Secretary home would be the convenor of this GoM, which was expected to submit its report shortly.
