Chinese President Xi Jinping visits Rajghat

Xi, along with his wife Peng Liyuan, arrived at Rajghat at 9:30 AM and spent 10 minutes inside the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi.

NEW DELHI: Chinese President Xi Jinping today paid homage to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

Xi, along with his wife Peng Liyuan, arrived at Rajghat at 9:30 AM and spent 10 minutes inside the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi.

He laid a wreath and paid floral tributes at his granite memorial.

Xi, who was accompanied by HRD Minister Smriti Irani, was presented a charkha, a bust of Mahatma Gandhi, and three books on his life during his visit to Rajghat.

The Chinese President wrote in Mandarin his comments on the visit to the memorial in the visitor's book.
